Types of cast steel shot:
(1) Steel shot
The hardness of steel shot is generally HRC40~50. When processing hard metal, the hardness can be increased to HRC57~62. They have good toughness, their service life is several times that of cast iron shots, and they are widely used.
(2) Cast iron pills
The hardness of cast iron shot is HRC58~65, which is very brittle, easily broken, has short life and is not widely used. Mainly used in places requiring high shot peening intensity.

Production process: Using selected raw material scrap steel, adding rare metals and optimal proportions of alloys, it is smelted in an electric furnace and converted into steel pellets through modern equipment production. The formed pellets are heated again to purify and homogenize them, and undergo multiple electric heat treatments. The quenched pellets are dried in the furnace and reheated and tempered to achieve the appropriate hardness. The tempered steel pellets are sorted through a mechanical screen into 11 grades that comply with SAE standards for use in shot blasting equipment. In the process of forming steel particles from liquid metal, its chemical composition and particle size are strictly controlled to ensure that its mechanical properties meet various uses. The strictest quality management is carried out in every production link. The steel shot produced has a tight internal structure, is not easily broken, has a uniform particle size distribution, has appropriate hardness, strong impact resistance and long service life.
